Building on the legacy of the Guglielmo Tagliacarne Institute (active from 1986 to 2019), the Centre – formally established in 2019 – provides rigorous analyses on socio-economic dynamics, offering evidence-based insights to support public policy.
The Centre operates across a wide range of domains, including firms’ competitiveness, local development processes, sectoral and supply-chain trends, labor market and skills, innovation, territorial macroeconomic indicators, and public policy impact evaluation.
It also promotes and participates in major research initiatives, including EU-funded projects, and plays an active role within the National Statistical System.
