In fulfilling the functions and duties assigned by law to the Chambers of Commerce, Unioncamere enters into programme agreements, protocols and conventions with central government administrations and national or local public bodies. It also promotes and facilitates structured cooperation between the Chamber System and business organisations, consumer associations and workers’ representatives.

At European level, Unioncamere ensures the institutional representation of the Italian Chambers of Commerce within Eurochambres, the association that brings together the Chamber Systems of Europe.
